Spouse Career Centre and Nestlé making it work for both
We are Switzerland’s first Dual Career Mobility experts. We have proudly and successfully supported Nestlé’s Spouse Career program since 2008. Through our collaboration with the (RTS) Nestec Ltd. HR-relocation and transfer services, other Nestlé entities HR departments and the NRCC – Nestlé Recruitment Competence Centre; Spouse Career Centre promotes Nestlé’s spouse career program, explains the policy, and ensures adherence to their internal regulations.
Through our participation at the first corporate meeting of IDCN in May 2011, we have remained a strong partner and supporter of Nestlé and their Dual Career Mobility objectives.
We firmly believe that Dual Career support is necessary in today’s recruitment market.
In order to attract and retain the best talent the accompanying partner of the international hire or transferee is a crucial element in the success of a relocation. Within a Swiss context without access to a local network (which takes months/year to establish independently) and knowledge of the local job market, new comers to the region experience great delays and frustration with their job search.
We salute the objective of Nestlé’s spouse career program – to ensure the spouse remains employable.
We have become experts in the area of Education support for the spouse, firstly, as a stop gap measure to maintain the spouse employable, secondly, to allow expat spouses an opportunity to use their time in the region to prepare for their career when they return home and thirdly, retraining to enable reenter into the job market after a time of absence from the workplace or to complete a spouses expertise/education to suit Swiss job requirements.
