Stop the Burn-In before it becomes Burn-Out
This learning process is articulated in 2 virtual classroom training and MP3s that participants will receive so they can continue to practise stress management. A work assignment will be issued for completion and discussion during Level 2.
Methodology: Participants will be paired up during Level 1 so they can have a partner to work with and support. This will enhance the learning and allow for an element of networking.

Details
Stress is a fact in our lives for better or for worse. Some stress can be manageable, where as too much stress for too long can lead to a burnout, which is a disorder that has emotional consequences and needs 12 months of recovery. During Level 1 the distinction between stress and burnout will be uncovered and the focus will be on Burnout, the symptoms, how to recognise it and avoid and what happens if it is not avoided.
Topics
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about stress and the role it plays in a burnout and how to recognise the symptoms of burnout and how it is manifested, as well us burnout recovery. Identifying the symptoms in oneself and others is uncovered. They will be knowledgeable and equipped to manage stress and prevent burnout and if prevention is not possible then how to support recovery.
Objectives
- Learn the facts about stress, how it is manifests in your body and what your body does to cope.
- Learn to recognise the symptoms of stress in yourself and others and what happens when a person actually burns out
- Understand how a person in burnout experiences their disorder, how they can recover and how they can return to work
- Experience dynamic meditations, breathing and exercises to be repeated as needed for continued benefit
